Title: "Applications of Fuzzy Logic to Learning Contexts"
Abstract: Fuzzy logic, which is based on fuzzy sets theory introduced by Zadeh in 1965, provides a rich and meaningful addition to standard logic that opens the door to construction of mathematical solutions of problems stated in a natural language and having no precise data. In particular, due to its property of characterizing the frequently appearing in our day to day life ambiguous situations with multiple values, fuzzy logic provides a variety of tools for modelling under conditions characterized by vagueness and/or uncertainty in cases where probability theory, based on principles of the traditional bi-valued logic, has not the capability to do so. Such tools will be used in this presentation for studying the human behaviour in learning contexts like problem-solving and modelling, analogical reasoning, decision-making, etc. These tools include the measurement of a fuzzy system's total possibilistic uncertainty, the Centre of Gravity defuzzification technique, the Triangular and Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers, etc
